SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) – do I need it?

Easy answer – if you are selling products or services on your website, or storing customer data, yes.

If you are not doing any of the above – no: but I, like many others, will not go onto a website if it does not have this security on it.

So you could be losing business either way. Also, you would have serious problems if you get hacked and your customer details are stolen, and you didn’t bother to put SSL on your site
